George W Bush pled guilty to DUI in 1976 which makes him.. inadmissible to Canada without special permission.

Canada has gotten even stricter about their drunk driving laws in the past year. It doesn’t matter if your charge was a misdemeanor in the U.S., a drunk driving conviction is treated as a serious offense in Canada. And any driving charge related to alcohol may preclude you from entering Canada.

It’s never a good idea to take a lot of cash with you through the airport. The government can take the cash by saying your bag smells like pot (or saying that a dog thinks it smells like pot). No charges need every be filed. This isn’t an isolated experience. Maybe your Uber driver’s trunk smelled like pot and your bag was closed up inside for half an hour. In fact flying Chicago – Los Angeles is enough of a reason for the government to suspect you of being a drug dealer and take whatever money you may be carrying. Why Aren’t Flight Attendant Jobs Glamorous Anymore?

Deregulation has meant more people have access to the skies thanks to lower prices (the government used to mandate high prices most people couldn’t afford). Flying has become more small-d democratic. Without government protection for airlines wages haven’t grown.

Working as a pilot was once glamorous, but the relative status of pilots has fared (somewhat) better than flight attendants. Some of the same effects have influenced the way we regard pilots today versus 40 years ago, although there are additional factors that have made serving as a flight attendant fall in status even more than flying up front.

American Airlines is Going to Break 1000 Departures at DFW Airport – For One Day Only

This summer American Airlines gained access to 15 new gates in terminal E satellite at Dallas Fort-Worth airport. That’s the biggest change that allowed them to grow from 800 flights a day to 900 flights. They had to make huge changes to their operation to accommodate this growth.

For one day though the airline is going to grow to 1000 departures at Dallas Fort-Worth.
