Hotel Housekeepers Launch New Ad Campaign To Get You To Ask For A Clean Room

Housekeepers represented by the union UNITE-HERE want guests to request housekeeping every day of their stay. More work for housekeepers means more jobs for union members.

But they aren’t wrong that without daily housekeeping, trash, dirt and debris builds up in guest rooms – and that makes it harder to clean, and often rooms don’t get thoroughly cleaned as a result.

American Airlines Passenger Commandeers The Jump Seat, Nobody Asks Her To Move

Jump seats are for flight attendants. They’ll be seated during takeoff and landing, and at other times as instructed by the pilot. They aren’t for customers.

An American Airlines Airbus A321 passenger shared to social media that a woman decided to take the mid-cabin jump seat for their entire flight. Surprisingly – to me, at least – no one told them to move.

Why Air Canada Wants Members To Get Great Value From Award Redemption (And Delta Doesn’t)

On Sunday I covered remarks by the head of the Delta SkyMiles program where he explained, among other things, why Delta doesn’t try to offer awards that look like outsized value to the member the way that Air Canada Aeroplan does.

So it seemed worth looking at Mark Nasr’s comments at the same Skift conference. Mark is Air Canada’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Digital, Product, and Brand and oversees the Aeroplan program. He explains why it’s important to deliver good value awards to customers in order to succeed.
