There’s a piece of advice that gets shared regularly on social media, a travel “hack” for parents of young children, that says to just slip them onto your suitcase and roll them through the airport. Genius, right? So much easier than carrying the child, as well as your bags, after you’ve checked the stroller!

Flight Drama Over San Francisco: United’s Mid-Air Communication Breakdown
United flight 35 from San Francisco to Osaka returned to San Francisco on Friday after dumping fuel. The aircraft was unable to make two way voice communication with air traffic control or with the airline’s dispatch.
The pilots of the aircraft communicated via text only.

Japanese Government Guarantees Taylor Swift’s Flight Will Make It To The Super Bowl
Canada can’t guarantee that its own Prime Minister’s plane will make it where it’s going, but the Government of Japan has publicly offered assurances that Taylor Swift will be able to perform in Tokyo and still make it in plenty of time to the Super Bowl
The Co-Pilot Of Your Next Flight Might Be An AI
Pilot unions will fight against continued loss in jobs, and very few would push the button today to go from two to one human in the cockpit. But the technology will arrive that will make travel much safer replacing a human at least as co-pilot. And at that point pilot unions will be clearly lobbying against safety.
Dress Code or Discrimination? Delta Air Lines Threatens To Kick Off Braless Passenger

“Take Him Down!” Passengers Restrain Drunk Man on JetBlue Flight, But Police Just Let Him Go
A man on board the Airbus A321neo began to exhibit erratic and aggressive behavior towards his travel companion and the flight crew. He was clearly intoxicated, and not from overserving – but from overserving himself with a bottle of liquor he’d brought onto the aircraft.
Four off-duty prison guards and two flight attendants had to subdue the man, which was filmed and shared on social media. One person can be heard yelling “Take him down.”

I’ve reached out to Southwest about whether their new pilot contract contains changes that would make it easier to add seats.
Elevating Air Travel: Passenger’s Lavish Inflight Picnic Turns Heads
A passenger brought their own picnic on board a flight, laid out a table cloth and even a battery-powered candle. They had a table tent with their name. And then they laid out a charcuterie board with sliced meat, cheese, crackers, pickles and it looks like maybe some mustard?
People often forget that you can bring your own food on a plane! You don’t have to buy it at the airport. Most airport food is horrible, anyway!
He Needs A Raise: The American Airlines Employee Who Stood Up For Your Checked Bags
A passenger inside an American Airlines plane filmed a baggage handler tossing luggage on the ground. Another member of the crew wasn’t having it. He goes over and starts to lecture her. And while we can’t hear what’s said, he’s clearly letting her know that this is not how to treat customer bags. You can see him pointing out bags strewn about.
