  1. The link to ALPA encouraging people to claim alcoholism is misleading. This is the opinion of the one pilot. Also the doctor was working more for Delta than ALPA and had his medical licensed revoked. I know pilots who have been through the program and don’t think anyone would see that as an advantage for them. It’s a way to get a second chance but everyone I’m aware of says it’s a difficult path that takes a year or more from your career.
