Citibank added Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles as a transfer partner last year. That means plenty of people have access to Turkish frequent flyer miles.

As a result it’s worth sharing that Turkish is running a 25% discount on domestic award tickets for booking and travel through the end of the year. That means flying Turkish within Turkey. (HT: @Youcanbenice2)

This isn’t going to be useful to a lot of you, but if you have plans to be in Turkey it’s a great find. Just told tell anyone you’re a Gülenist while you’re there.

It’s worth a reminder as well that Turkish Airlines offers some great award redemptions year-round. They add fuel surcharges onto redemptions, their pricing is very reasonable.

• They charge 90,000 miles roundtrip between the US and Turkey — or anywhere in Europe — in business class. They charge 98,000 miles roundtrip between the US and North Africa via Istanbul.

• Asia or South Africa is 135,000 miles roundtrip in business class.

• Turkish Miles & Smiles also offers companion award tickets for fewer miles in conjunction with a paid ticket, e.g. US – Istanbul at 63,000 miles roundtrip.
