This is not generally a good idea. While converting from Aeroplan to some programs like US Airways can be done without too much loss of value, the reverse isn’t the case.
The bonus doesn’t just apply to transferring miles from one program to another but also “trades” that occur on the site between members. Those are also not a good deal given the cash costs required to transfer.
Does anyone still collect ‘Aeropesos’ ?
What about transferring Membership Rewards points to Aeroplan and then to Us Airways?
There is now an annual limit but that has been the game to save on fuel surcharges for awhile
Hi, I want to apply for the Lufthansa card that expires at the end of June but I just got a Barclays US Airways on 03/01/2013. When I got it they only gave me $600 of credit. My present credit score is 743. In your expert opinion should I apply? Thanks, StephenM
