Hyatt has a relationship with SLH hotels. You can earn points on paid stays at around 500 independent luxury properties, and you can redeem points for stays.
They’ve been bringing the SLH hotels into the World of Hyatt program in tranches. This started a little over a year ago. In October they added a 5th tranche, reaching half of the 500 SLH hotels. Now they’ve added another 56 more hotels, roughly now including 60% of the SLH portfolio.

- They’re running a bonus promotion for paid stays at SLH hotels
Bonus for Paid Stays at SLH Hotels
Hyatt is offering 3000 bonus points per eligible paid stay at SLH properties that are part of the program, through March 2, 2020. Even with this bonus I’d say be careful about booking paid SLH stays through Hyatt.
The partnership requires booking with Hyatt, and gives you elite stay credit at participating hotels, but no elite benefits. Booking through Hyatt does include:
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Daily Complimentary Continental Breakfast
- Room Upgrade (one category at check-in if available)
- Early check-in (noon, based upon availability at check-in)
- Late check-out (2:00pm, based upon availability at check-in)
Hyatt’s best rate guarantee doesn’t apply, and SLH’s own best rate guarantee doesn’t apply. Booking independent properties direct may yield lower rates than going through a central channel, and in this case you’ll want to even check pricing that SLH.com is offering versus what Hyatt may be offering. There’s no promise Hyatt rates qualifying for points and status credit will be the best rates. Often I’ve found that they aren’t.

All SLH hotels are included on Hyatt’s category 1-8 award chart (Hyatt created category 8 for SLH Hotels but has since added non-SLH properties). In March the award chart adds peak and off peak pricing.

There are some incredible hotels in the SLH portfolio, and it’s cool to be able to use Hyatt points for stays (though elite benefits don’t apply). Be careful on paid stays that you don’t overpay booking through Hyatt.
