A little birdie tells me,
British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus enthusiasts should know that earning 100,000 Avios by spending $5,000 in three months is departing soon. Additionally, the ability to earn 5x Avios on eligible flights and 3x Avios on hotel accommodations booked directly with the hotel is ending as well. Apply for the card before June 30th to take advantage of this massive bonus!
The British Airways Visa Signature® Card has an initial bonus offer to earn 100,000 Avios – with much more reasonable requirements. You earn this bonus after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
Chase issues not just the British Airways card but also sister Aer Lingus and Iberia products and they each have similar bonus offers.
- Aer Lingus Visa Signature® Card earn 100,000 Avios after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
- Iberia Visa Signature® Card earn 100,000 Avios after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
Active Avios accounts can transfer points between them, so it’s possible to pool points across the Iberia, British Airways and Aer Lingus programs.
Iberia’s program offers roundtrips from the East Coast to Europe in business class on their own flights from 68,000 points roundtrip. And now that Qatar Airways uses Avios as its currency, and you can similarly transfer points into Qatar’s Privilege Club, BA has reduced the price of its own awards for travel on Qatar as well.
Of course like all Chase cards you generally will only be approved if you’ve had fewer than 5 new cards in the past 24 months (“5/24”).
Any idea how long they take to post both the card miles and the bonuses? Started this in Apr, paid balance in full, no posts, hit 5K target in May and paid in full.
No amount of Avios is worth dealing with Chase. They are the most dishonest bank in America. British Airways should select a more honest bank to partner with.
If we received a bonus for the Aer Lingus card within 24 months, can we still get the bonus on the Iberia or B.A. card if we didn’t get the bonus for either of THOSE cards in the previous 24 months?
“They are the most dishonest bank in America.”
You should get out more. Chase probably doesn’t even rank in the top 5 for most dishonest bank.
