Most readers redeem Avianca LifeMiles for Star Alliance partner awards. But right now, through December 29, they’re actually running a 2-for-1 offer on all redemptions when spending miles to travel on their own airline’s flights.

You’ll receive a rebate for one ticket when redeeming travel for two passengers (and if you redeem four passengers, that’s 50% back, so is six passengers and eight passengers on the same itinerary) as long as you book by December 29.

• Travel February 1 – March 19 or April 4 – May 31
  
• Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte origin and destination are excluded, and no stopovers are permitted.
  
• Each account can receive a rebate for four tickets maximum
  
• Points can take a week to return to the member’s account

The offer says “this activity applies exclusively for all members who have received this communication” but it’s right there on the home page when I log in. So make sure you see it when you log in. It specifically allows for buying miles as part of this offer, so your points go twice as far.
