News and notes from around the interweb:
- This 787 spreadsheet is an interesting find
I found this live google doc on airliners.net for the Charleston, SC factory production line(s).. It shows 2 of the new 787-9’s are assembled and awaiting final prep and a 3rd is undergoing final assembly. There are 8 more in the wings, so to speak, that could make their way on property by end of 2025. But it does appear the 3 that are assembled (lines 1191, 1198, 1201) are on target for delivery this year as previously reported by AA. The Google sheet appears to be updated regular as it shows 7/24/24 as first flight dates for several deliveries to other airlines.

Frontier Airlines argument

- Barclays and Hawaiian re-upped their credit card partnership of course if the Alaska acquisition of Hawaiian goes through then HawaiianMiles will become much more valuable Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles.
- Frontier continues to shuffle its route network as it struggles.
A lot of these received temporary suspensions after the summer, but are now no longer planned to resume, so they’ll mostly end in August. Others were supposed to resume this winter, but have now been canceled.
There might be other cancelations, but that’s all I’ve found so far.

- Even after this past week’s meltdown, Delta doesn’t have much competition for the ‘premium’ mantle – even though it wouldn’t take much.
@AmericanAir – N313SB performing flight AA910 07/25 – 2A. The overhead bin is missing and the tray table is sealed as Inoperative. For a paying customer in the premium cabin – this is unacceptable. How is this airframe in service? I'm very appalled by this experience today! pic.twitter.com/QqDsh9wBHG

@AmericanAir I swear. This is the last time only with you. Lovely first class experience here. The floor is coming up. My side is held together with tap. The other side is bulging out. And between the seat and the wall makes me want to throw up. And I only sat in seat 1D pic.twitter.com/gN5zuYElOd

I watched the Frontier link. I was surprised, I just assumed they had seating like in military cargo planes . . . or maybe folding chairs.
The Frontier skit was entertaining.

Re: AA 787 sked. What this does not show is that many 787 being have problems, but they don’t stop builds. When completed, they send them to Everett to be fixed. That glitch doesn’t appear to crop up in your Google sked.
Doesn’t show a good light towards aircraft that may not fly at all and the ones that are old and showing major wear/ problems. They should be fixed Immediately
