“First Class, Still Trash”: Passenger Manspreads in Sandals Up on Bulkhead Looks Like He’s Giving Birth [Roundup]

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • Oh My Goodness. A first class passenger on a domestic flight was photographed with his legs spread wide, sandals propped up on the bulkhead in front of him. The pose drew comparisons to “giving birth,” and the viral caption mocked him with the line: “Who needs Paris, First Class, International, when you’ve got Florida, First Class, Domestic.” Social media users piled on, calling it proof that “first class, still trash.”

  • How did I miss this one from Chicago O’Hare back in July? It’s making the rounds again now as though it just happened but I didn’t see it earlier.

  • Haves and have nots.

  • If there’s actually anything interesting there – I do not know if there is! – it’ll almost certainly be redacted.

  • This never used to be an issue with Southwest. They were better than this. Now they’re just like everybody else.

  • I don’t see how an airline keeps your money when they don’t deliver the product you’ve paid for (hint: it’s not just ‘transportation from A to B’ especially when they advertise that it isn’t).
