Bilt’s First Rent Day With Bilt Cash Is February 1 — Up To 125% Transfer Bonus To Accor

Bilt will be back with Rent Day offers on February 1 – its first Rent Day since the launch of its new cards, and the first Rent Day since the new Bilt Cash currency (introduced in addition to points) is available for redemption.

The headline offer is an up to 125% transfer bonus to Accor.

  • Blue: 25% bonus(6:5)
  • Silver: 50% bonus (1:1)
  • Gold: 75% bonus(6:7)
  • Platinum: 100% bonus (3:4)

Members can spend $75 in Bilt Cash to increase their bonus to the next higher tier (e.g. Gold members from 75% to 100%). And Platinum members can increase theirs to 125%. (It is not possible to stack this, spending for instance $150 to jump two tiers.)

There’s not a lot of Bilt Cash out there yet. $50 is earned for every 25,000 points achieved in the program, plus Bilt’s suite of new cards earn 4% back in Bilt Cash (as an option) in addition to points. Spending on those cards doesn’t start until February 7.

Some people do spend heavily on the existing Wells Fargo card, eat out a lot, maybe signed a new apartment lease and earned Bilt points and therefore Bilt Cash. But for many this is just the first exercise in seeing Bilt Cash scale a Rent Day points transfer bonus.

Bilt ran a transfer bonus with Accor last year. It’s high value.

  • Accor has ~55 brands – like Fairmont, Sofitel, Raffles, and Orient Express at the high end. The points program is revenue-based, where points equate to fixed value towards hotel stays.

  • Accor is a Capital One and Citi transfer partner but at 2:1, so Bilt offers a better transfer ratio to start with where 3,000 Bilt points gets 2,000 Accor points worth 40 euros. That’s reasonable though.

  • This offer nets you up to 4,500 Accor points for 3,000 Bilt points. That’s 90 euros for those 3,000 points or 3 euro cents per Bilt point – which is 3.57 U.S. cents per Bilt point.

Meanwhile, there’s the usual litany of exclusive access to comedy experiences, dining offers, fitness classes, and their Family Feud-style game to win free rent this month hosted by MrBeast.

There’s also the usual double points on the Bilt Mastercard (where dining becomes 6x, and unbonused non-rent spend becomes 2x) up to 1,000 bonus points. It’s not yet clear whether this will continue in future months with Bilt’s new stable of cards.

  1. The whole BILT Cash thing for this is kinda weird, but, I guess, if you’re really an Accor fanatic, good for you? Gotten burned by too many Fairmonts to trust them; Raffles is still good.
