- After $82K Pittsburgh airport cash seizure, woman takes TSA to court
Institute for Justice attorney Dan Alban argued that Congress authorized the TSA only to search for and seize items that pose a threat to airline security. He said the agency’s secret operating policies go beyond that authority by directing TSA employees to take extra steps when they encounter large amounts of cash….“TSA screeners are not law enforcement officers, and the TSA is not authorized to conduct general criminal investigation,” he said.
In August 2019, Brown’s father, the late Terry Rolin, a resident of the South Fayette village of Morgan, had entrusted her with his life savings while she visited him in Pittsburgh for a weekend family wedding. Brown said her father, who had squirreled away cash for years in hiding places at his home, asked her to open a joint account and help him manage his savings.
Even though it is legal to fly domestically with any amount of cash, Brown was stopped by security and questioned by Pennsylvania State Police and the DEA. The DEA agent took the money without charging Brown with a crime or arresting her.

So here’s what I don’t understand. PBI is going to named after Captain Tiny Hands. He also wants IAD named after him. So when you are flying to Tony Hands airport are you going to DC or Palm Beach?
And why stop there? Let’s just name every f’ing thing after him. He won’t be satisfied until we do.
Public spaces should not be named after racist sex offender convicted felons.
Besides Ronald Reagan and John Wayne, what other landmarks and airports have been named after treasonous, draft-dodging cowards.

As best I can tell about the $82k is that the suit is to get the government to stop making such seizures however there have been cases before that have not caused that to happen. It is like large amounts of cash is a drug to law enforcement.
Hopefully, this ultimately results in airports, stadiums, and other quasi-public infrastructure losing all of their naming. Which would not be a bad thing.
Don’t forget we will still need things to name after his drag queen VP and second ever gay speaker of the house (RIH Denny Hastert).
