Amtrak is offering double points system wide. Registration required.
They claim the offer is for the entire fall. But it ends November 14. So I do not think ‘Fall’ means what they think it means.

When I glanced at the subject line, I thought it said ‘Amtrak Doesn’t Know the Definition of “Fail”.’
While fall technically doesn’t end until Dec 21, I don’t think that people in Minnesota, for example, would disagree with Amtrak that Nov 15 is the start of winter, unless they thought that was already way past the start of winter. For northerners, September and October are fall, the rest is winter! Actually, where I was born and raised, they already have several inches of snow, so fall ended early this year!

Nov 15 is winter in my book. It’s also fall already. I go by the weather(fall started yesterday.), and amtrak’s dates match that much better than the calendar does.
Maybe they should extend to southern hemisphere fall too? Maybe we should go with meteorological autumn?
INCONCEIVABLE!
Hmph. I’m doing an Amtrak trip on November 16th.
