When registering for Starwood’s new promotion, “Take Three” I received a confirmation message that told me I’d be earning more points than I expected.
Starwood’s new promotion is supposed to offer triple points on weekends and double points on weekdays for stays 2 nights and longer between May 27 and September 4.
However I registered for the offer and this came up as a pop up confirming my registration:
As a Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express cardholder I’ll earn an additional 1500 points per resort stay on top of the standard double or triple points earning from this promotion. I’ve carried this card since 2001.

Good on points stays or only cash stays?
Hilton is doing the same thing with the Surpass card, I guess the hotel chains are expecting this summer to be a little slower than usual in terms of traveling.
