A Good Hotel Responds to Their Guests’ Needs

Via Tripso.com, Mariah Carey is a pretty demanding hotel guest.

When the singer’s aides arrived at a London hotel at 2am yesterday to check preparations for her imminent arrival, they were dismayed to find the red carpet had not been rolled out.

They explained that, whatever time of day or night she arrives, Miss Carey is always welcomed by a thick-pile red carpet illuminated by large white candles.

Her limo circled the block while the hotel prepared for her arrival.

  1. What does the picture of Mariah Carey in her underwear have to do with either 1) the story 2) miles or 3) travel? Since you don’t find it necessary to publish similar pictures of Randy Peterson or Gerard Arpey, it’s clear you realize that such pictures have nothing to do with the content on your blog.

Many of us read your blog at work, and don’t want pictures like that on our screen at work, and others just plain don’t want to see women in their underwear when we’re searching for news/advice on travel and miles.

  2. Haha, what a Diva. Guess she got over that nervous breakdown really quick. I’m always overjoyed when Starwood gives me a free bottle of water… and I still have to look at the label for a possible hidden price tag of $4.95.

Re: the photo. Shrug, I deem that “safe for work”, although I can see your point. Check out the “Most Popular” photos at Yahoo.com, those are worse at times.

  3. Funny that Gary hasn’t bothered to respond to a pretty valid concern and that the only comments in support of it have been from men. . .

  4. I dont think that this picture is a big deal. You see it in regular newspapers and print media all the time and that is safe for work. I think that the picture is simply making a point. If you are a bigshot star and good looking you can pretty much get what you want. And it’s nice to look at.
