  1. For DFW, that’s a pretty big deal with both a new Flagship and Chase Sapphire lounge. If it’s anything like the new Flagships at JFK T8 or the Chase lounge at LGA or BOS, y’all are in for a good time. Yee-haw!

    Nice penguins, btw.

  2. Airbus is the master of hype.

Advertising a big fancy new cabin, but what’s the actual difference? Just slightly larger bins, lighter bins, and an OPTIONAL 3rd light strip.

    Big Whoop.

  3. It appears the DFW Chase lounge will go in the space that is already an empty lounge on the second level across from D35. It’s a very large space so 18,000 sq. ft. sounds right. I had been in that space when American used it around 2018 as a temporary premium lounge (but not Flagship quality) before they opened the Flagship at DFW. It was a temporary space for certain international travelers since they had closed the Terminal D Admiral’s Club at that time to split the space to construct the adjoining separate Flagship Lounge. Once the Flagship Lounge opened, AA abandoned that premium lounge space and it seems to have sat mostly empty for several years but you’d occasionally see people in there; you can see that space from the check-in area in Terminal D since it has floor to ceiling glass that overlooks the American Airlines check in counters, the giant wishbone sculpture, and one of the TSA check points.

But glad to see that DFW will have no shortage of lounges with a new Sapphire one with a Flagship, 5 Admirals Clubs, Priority Pass (The Club at DFW), Capital One, AmEx Centurion, Delta, United, USO, Plaza Premium, Minute Suites (if you count those), and possibly some others.

  4. @Gary or any other informed commenter: what’s a good reason to shift to Chase over Amex for lounge access? Thanks in advance for the time and input.
