Awards Available for Qatar’s Four-Person QSuite Business Class

Qatar has the best business class product in the world in its new ‘QSuites’. To be sure even their older Airbus A350 business class is very good, a B/E Aerospace Super Diamond seat and a phenomenal soft product. But QSuites are revolutionary suites with doors and moveable partitions that allow two and even four passengers to travel together in their own space.

Currently they fly the product to New York JFK, Washington Dulles, and starting Saturday to Chicago.

On the New York JFK route there are (2) flights a day. One is operated by an A350. That’s great, but it’s not the one you’re looking for. Flights QR701 and 702 with a Boeing 777-300ER is the one with QSuites.

Here’s the interesting thing. It is possible but not easy to get (4) business class award seats on a single flight with QSuites. That’s special because it means you can be seated together in a section of four, take down dividers.

This is availability from Doha to New York JFK for four passengers in business class, I’ve highlighted dates where the Boeing 777 with QSuites is what’s available. (There are more dates with availability for two passengers of course and that’s pretty special too.)

American AAdvantage charges 70,000 miles each way between the US and either the Mideast or connecting beyond to the ‘Indian subcontinent’. You can also use these flights to connect to Africa.

Qatar is a oneworld member, so miles with other oneworld programs can be used as well, and they also partner with a handful of other carriers.

  1. Its one of many sources of dissatisfaction with AAdvantage that you can’t redeem on QR from even the East Coast to Southeast Asia, even though its the shorter way around (and that JL’s and MH’s route networks and schedules are shadows of their former selves, leaving CX the only option (though not a bad one at all)) . Are there any currencies that allow one to redeem such an award on QR, without flying QR?

  2. Do we know if the IAD flight will stay with Q Suites or if it is ending? There were 4 business class seats on one I just booked in February and even though it shows the old seatmap I am wondering if it will stay with Q.

  3. Someone please notify Brian Kelly and Zach Honig. That couple and another couple could book a Q-suite.

  4. How are you searching these. When I do a search on ba.com it does not show availability.
