Bilt Rent Day: Up To 100% British Airways Transfer Bonus, Earn Fee-Free 3x On Rent

For November’s ‘Rent Day’ on the first of the month, Bilt Rewards is offering up to a 100% transfer bonus to British Airways Executive Club. Targeted bonuses – which will vary by member – range from 50% to 100%. It’s been about 20 years since any program offered a 100% transfer bonus to British Airways – it’s something that Diners Club used to do each summer. Check your app or account on their website to find your offer.

I am being offered just a 50% bonus, which I’ll pass on – because my Bilt points are too valuable to move speculatively for less than a 100% bonus. What’s interesting is that in the past where there have been multiple bonus levels those have been tied to elite status in the Bilt Rewards program. Not this time! I’m a Platinum member and received the lowest bonus offer.

Another targeted offer is waived fees for rent payments using an Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card. While there’s no fee to pay rent using Bilt’s own co-brand Mastercard from Wells Fargo and earn 1 point per dollar spent, you can also earn 3x using an Alaska Visa for a 3% transaction fee. Targeted members get the fee waived on up to $2,500 in rent spend from October 28, 2024, at 9:00am Eastern through 11:59 pm Pacific on November 1st, 2024.

Meanwhile, all Bilt Mastercard cardholders earn 2x at Grocery stores in October, up to 500 bonus points (the earnings cap makes this pretty mid).

Additional Rent Day offers include,

  • A continuation of their fixed price curated tasting menus at several restaurants (‘Starting at’ $50 or 3,500 Bilt points, bookable October 29th, 2024 at 11:50am Eastern for Platinums and Noon Eastern for others).

I notice in my app that the Sushi | Bar chain is again participating. They took on a national profile in the spring after the New York Times tagged it an archetype of ‘bromakase’ dining.

Unquestionably this offer through Bilt is a deal, meanwhile a really good Omakase is one of my very favorite things that I will gladly fly to Japan for.

  • Italian cooking classes in New York and Los Angeles on November 1st with live DJ and drinks, (‘Starting at’ $125 or 4,000 Bilt points, bookable October 29th, 2024 at 11:50am Eastern for Platinums and Noon Eastern for others).

  • Double points spending on the Bilt co-brand card (including 6x on dining, 4x on travel) on the 1st but only up to 1,000 bonus points, this excludes rent payments and tax payments no longer count either.

  • SoulCycle rides and the Family Feud-style game show (this month with Martha Stewart) to earn free rent but this month there’s also 500,000 Hilton points as part of the prize.

  1. It’ll be really helpful to collect datapoints on the full set of targeted offerings; I’m a Platinum who got the 100% transfer and the 2x on groceries; I wonder what other offers, like the Alaska fee waiver, are floating around.

  2. I got 50% (as Platinum). Also, even though it says I have 2x on groceries, I am actually *inelligible* for that because it just so happens that I opted for the 2x on groceries for 30 days Milestone Reward a couple of days ago and the T&C is specific that it is not stackable with that.

  3. I got 100% transfer bonus. No Bilt status. I wonder if it’s based on how many points you have in your account? I have under 20K.

  4. A Bilt executive said on reddit:

The benefits this month are largely targeted, with everyone receiving at least 50% to BA – a percentage that was lauded as amazing in the years prior to Bilt existing. (I remember as I wrote all of the reviews for years before my Bilt life). There are several other targeted offers this month outside of the BA bonus, so check your accounts!

While we won’t share who/why different members are targeted, I’ll say the 100% this month is targeted to a large percentage (majority) of the Bilt base. Status based benefits are not going anywhere, but we will strive to ensure we are driving the behaviors our partners want to see so we can continue to offer these very lucrative bonuses. – Kerr, Bilt
