My view is that you should only buy things in your purchase plan on major shopping days. Get a discount for what you’d buy anyway, don’t make impulse purchases of things you don’t need. I’ve mostly ignored Amazon Prime Day.
For many travelers though ‘stuff in your purchase plan’ may include noise cancelling headphones. They’re something I travel with. I use Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones. I paid $300 for mine when I bought them. Amazon has them on sale for an amazing $99.
They went on sale for Black Friday last year at $179. I’ve never seen them this low. Both an Android-specific and Apple-specific version are available.
To be sure this isn’t the latest generation headphone, that’s the Bose QuietComfort 35 which is wireless. But I am still very happy with my QC25s, and I’m definitely not spending $300+ for new headphones.

QC 35 is the last generation. Current generation is the 700. QC 25 is two generations old now.
New generations of headphones sometimes only look different and don’t sound any better than previous generations. Always check some trustworthy YouTube reviewers before you buy.
By using 1 Membership Rewards point to pay for the QC25 you can trigger a further discount down to $65 or so, if you registered for this promotion.
Ben is right. Like last BF, the 20% discount comes off of the original price. A very good deal for these.
I used the Chase deal $15 off $60, the 20% off Amex deal I used for gift cards.
Thanks! I love my QC25s and am happy to have a backup pair!
I’d even be willing to pay today’s price of $129, that’s a great deal
Seems to be a number of users who claim the headphones short out
on one side over time and not covered under warranty if purchased through Amazon
Isolated issues or common ?
I am willing to pay the $129 price on amazon listed now. However the warranty issue mentioned above by Dwondermeant has me hesitant? Has anyone had this problem? Thanks
Dwondermeant, I’ve used mine for four years without a single hitch. If they’re shorting, the user is pulling on the cable, stepping on it. or throwing the cans around. I’ve never had a problem with Bose covering any repair (or more likely replacement, in the case of an older product) no matter where the purchase was made. Just ask nicely. Walked a pair of QC15 into a Bose store two years after purchasing them at Best Buy – the ear cup seemed to be wearing unevenly and they simply gave me a new pair. Still have the replacements and they work perfectly.
Even at the current price of $125 these are a great deal!
Thanks Joan!
