I’ve been swamped the past few days, I have an inbox full of great deals, and no time to cull through them. Fortunately FreeFrequentFlyerMiles does much of the work for me. Gary Steiger points to several worthwhile offers: United’s Silver Wings Plus has a promo (promo code SWA16-2904) — join for $264 and get 25,000 bonus miles, (3) $100 travel credits, and double miles on your next 12,500 flown miles. You’ll have to cancel before the first year is up or they’ll auto-renew you for another $264. Silver Wings Plus is United’s senior citizen program. The offer may expire November 4. United’s generally worthless ‘luxury travel club’ is offering 50,000 United miles as a bonus when signing up for a 2-year membership ($500). That’s one cent per mile, plus you get 2 lounge passes and Starwood Gold status (and a couple other minor sundry items, like the ability to request a free leather travel wallet from one of their partners). The 3-month trial for $10, which still nets you the lounge passes and Starwood status but no miles, is still available.

Double Miles for Northwest Flights

Northwest is offering double miles (which also count towards status) on Northwest and KLM through October 9th. Registration is required. They say the offer is intended to match a similar one from United, which leads me to ask what double miles offer from United? I haven’t seen one. I can’t find one on the United website. And as far as I can tell it hasn’t been mentioned on Flyertalk.com, which is as close as one can come to saying it doesn’t exist. Maybe their corporate espionage folks knew about one coming down the pike? Here’s hoping…
