On this morning’s earnings call American Airlines shared that their “Boeing 777-200 retrofit [project will be] complete in Q2.”
Those are the last international widebodies that still have angled seats, but they’re months away from finally all offering lie flat seats with direct aisle access.

Thirty one pounds of cocaine in seven bricks were found inside the nose gear of an American Airlines plane having work done in Tulsa.
Just a year ago cocaine was found in an American Airlines plane up from Bogota while in Tulsa for maintenance.

Man Pleads Guilty to Setting the Lavatory on Fire
Monarch Airlines flight ZB-472 from Birmingham in the UK to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt had a fire emergency while enroute.
There crew extinguished the fire in the lavatory of the Airbus A321, and then another fire started which was also extinguished by crew. The flight continued and landed safely.
The aircraft had to be taken out of service. The return flight was postponed a day while a new aircraft was flown in.
Marriott Wants to Add Automatic Cocktail Dispensers — And Free Drinks — to Lobbies
Marriott may soon start sending you free drinks to your phone which you can redeem at automatic drink dispensers in hotel lobbies.
The prospect of being emailed free drink codes from the cocktail dispenser sounds like it’ll be a pretty good reason to download the Marriott app if this comes to fruition.
