News and notes from around the interweb:
- Business class deals from 55,000 miles roundtrip to Europe using Lufthansa’s Miles & More.
- After an unannounced devaluation without notice Alaska Airlines was will to reverse a points transfer into Mileage Plan from Marriott Bonvoy. When they massively hiked Emirates redemption prices overnight in 2016 they were willing to refund mileage purchases that had just been made under a bonus offer, too. But the lesson here is that Alaska makes surprise, no-notice devaluations even after promising over and over that they would not do so.

- Chase is offering a 25% bonus on transfers to Air France KLM Flying Blue through May 15. I wouldn’t move points speculatively, but if you need to book Air France especially this can help. Flying Blue, along with Virgin’s Flying Club and Korean Air’s Skypass, is one of the only decent SkyTeam frequency programs.
- Up to 30% bonus transferring Capital One or Hyatt points to Etihad in April but note that the bonus points don’t show up until the first 10 days of May.
- GHA Discovery: Earn up to 150 Discovery Dollars for stays at participating hotels Worldwide
This just shows you cannot trust Alaska Airlines to tell the truth. They continue to lie just like the other airlines.
@Alan – agreed 100%. I wonder if Alaska is drinking the OneWorld Kool-aid thinking that the Alliance will sustain Mileage Plan even with these devaluations and cuts. The program has gone downhill fast since joining OW and I’m still bracing for the worst.
