  1. Picked up free IHG Diamond status last month? Renew it for a year by joining Intercontinental Ambassador.

Yup, I picked up the free IHG Diamond status and extended it to 12/31/2023 by signing up for InterContinental Ambassador, with zero IHG stays and zero IHG points in my account.

One of the cool ramifications of this incredible IHG status offer — and I see many positive ramifications because IHG One and Hilton Honors complement each other more than they compete — is that the “debate” about whether IHG’s 4th award free is “better” than Hilton’s 5th award night free (they are equivalent) has become moot, as I also picked up the Chase IHG Rewards Premier MC, which comes with the 4th award night free perk, and thus now offers me the option to book award stays with either the 4th night free as an IHG Diamond or 5th night free as HH Diamond 😉

  2. Currently Diamond. My Ambassador just expired and IHG is still offering AMB to me but it says only Platinum status. Am I just hoping Diamond will be extended since I”m currently Diamond?

  3. Valid point about public proposals putting undue pressure to say yes. I hadn’t really considered that.

  4. Brian that is not nice. They do it because they are just like politicians and can not be trusted. How many of these say NO later ?

I know if that was me i would say NOPE …. but then again my partner knows I do NOT want to be married EVER.
