• Aviation watchdog JonNYC says Lufthansa hasn’t ruled out the possibility of bringing Airbus A380s back into service next year.

  As far as the obvious question; does this doom any chance of LH A380's ever coming back, if demand continues to come back/improve and if no other options are available at that time (say next year,) still possible we'd see LH A380 fly again.

• British Airways Gold elite upgrade vouchers can now be used to confirm upgrades on American Airlines and it doesn’t have to be a BA codeshare. BA elites are about to find out how little C inventory American makes available.

• Denver airport fired its head of parking for fairly shocking behavior, the question is how he lasted so long and why his superiors still have jobs – shouldn’t they be accountable for allowing the behavior?

  Internal documents, emails and personnel records obtained by The Denver Post reveal that by early April, employee concerns about the workplace culture in the Parking and Transportation Department had grown so widespread that DIA brass hired an outside investigative firm to dig deeper. For months, scrutiny had focused on the leadership of Winfred “Herald” Hensley, the senior vice president in charge of the department.

  While the workplace probe still is underway, DIA says, Hensley is gone. Chief Operating Officer Steve Jaquith fired the nearly 16-year DIA veteran on May 5.

• This Delta flight attendant is “disgusted” by the “lack of leadership” by the flight’s captain.

• Washington National airport will have no southbound metro train service September 10 – October 22

  

• Canada, Australia and numerous other ‘Covid cautious’ countries have dropped pre-travel testing requirements. Starting Saturday Israel won’t require them either. But the U.S. which basically has almost zero other mandatory Covid precautions persists in requiring them for international air arrivals, telling those with Covid to fly to Mexico or Canada and drive across the border.
