  1. Delta continued to operate a flight that others would have cancelled. All of the major Florida airports were in ground stops yesterday at the same time due to thunderstorms and ATC staffing. With good weather today so far JetBlue has cancelled 25% of their flights while Southwest is at 10% American is at 6 and Alaska is at 8% due to reported crew shortages. Delta is at 26 total flights for not even 1 percent.
Airlines and ATC are struggling to meet demand. Delta is doing better than its peers ahead of what could be a challenging summer

  2. On the tourist who videoed himself being relieved of his ‘very expensive gold chain given to him by his grandfather’ … what kind of an idiot brings expensive jewelry with him, much less WEARS IT while strolling around a sleazy location?

  3. That tracking device in the luggage sounds good. Are they something like TILE? Any thoughts on that as a practice Gary?

I’ve had people take my bags twice; found them via the tag on the their luggage (left behind because it was a mistake when they took mine).

  4. Why am I not surprised at who the cops arrested for luggage theft…. 90% of the time it the “usual suspects:. DISGUSTING!

  5. DL is becoming class-less and their reliability is also becoming questionable. Those 30 plus YO 757’s and 767’s are a mess and need to go. I won’t be surprised to see part of the A321Neo order become XLRs but they will be years behind AA and UA in getting them. DL has made a lot of money be being cheap, I think it’s going to come back to bit them with high fuel prices and higher plane prices in the future.
