DFW Airport Will Build A New Terminal, Refurbish 50 Year Old Terminal C

Four years ago American Airlines and Dallas – Fort Worth airport came to agreement on terminal improvements that included piecemealing a new terminal F and refreshing terminal C. At the time this was estimated to cost $3 to $3.5 billion.

Capital construction was part of master lease negotiations. The old lease expired in 2020, but was extended due to the pandemic. With American representing over 85% of passenger traffic, they have the lion’s share of say. And together with their joint venture partners they’re able to exercise de facto control. So it was American on hand with the CEO of the airport when they announced a new master lease today, that finally included plans for the new terminal and existing terminal refresh.

Some American Airlines Pilots Organizing Illegal Job Action To Hurt The Company

The pilot union has taken a strike authorization vote, but isn’t legally permitted to strike because they haven’t received federal permission to do so (and that would only come after a 30 day ‘cooling off period’). Pilots are getting frustrated over the time it is taking to get to a contract, though the airline has publicly committed to substantial raises.

Some pilots do not want to wait, and are suggesting taking matters into their own hands. The mistake they’re making, though, is putting this in writing – and the union, therefore, has taken steps to disavow it.

Hyatt’s Excuse For Eliminating Free Night Awards At Park Hyatt Tokyo

The iconic Park Hyatt Tokyo, location for the Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson film Lost In Translation, is a favorite among World of Hyatt members. Globalist breakfast here is incredible, both in-restaurant and through allowable room service. And standard suites which are eligible for upgrade are lovely.

However it has become generally no longer possible to redeem points at this hotel.

Exclusive: Flight Diverts When Passenger Drinks His Own Hennessy, Chokes His Wife

Saturday night’s JetBlue flight 2404 from San Juan to New York JFK diverted to Richmond after a passenger, who brought their own alcohol on board, got into an altercation with their wife.

A passenger on board the aircraft shared with View From The Wing that the man had brought on a bottle of Hennessy, was visibly intoxicated, and had “choked out his wife.”

Hertz Calls Cops On Customer Who Gets Threatened With Deportation For Being.. Puerto Rican?

Hertz in New Orleans refused to rent to a car to a law enforcement officer of 25 years because he’s from Puerto Rico – and only presented a driver’s license and not a passport – because “he was from a foreign country.”

When the man insisted that no, he’s an American, the rental car giant called law enforcement to remove him. That’s when he was threatened to bring over immigration authorities.
