Tomi Lahren, apparently, feels differently and reaches the Godwin’s law stage of the pandemic.
American Passengers Forced To Place Hands On Heads For Landing Before Being Detained
Hands up, don’t shoot. American Airlines “ordered passengers on a flight from Los Angeles to Miami on Wednesday to put their hands on their heads” for the last 45 to 60 minutes of the flight “because of a potential security threat.” On arrival in Miami, the plane was boarded by law enforcement with machine guns.
One man was arrested, but that wasn’t the end because when passengers were finally permitted to deplane they were held in the terminal.
The New, Easy, And Cheap Way To Book JetBlue Mint (Business Class) Awards
The Emirates frequent flyer program has just introduced award redemption on its partner JetBlue. It’s easy to get Emirates points. And the award prices for JetBlue’s ‘Mint’ business class are surprisingly reasonable. You can often book JetBlue business class seats for more than one third fewer points than JetBlue would charge in its own program.
A TSA Insider Walks You Through How To Fly Without ID
You can skip showing an ID altogether if you have CLEAR and are flying from a terminal where that service is offered. Your eyes or fingerprints are your ID instead.
But if you don’t have ID, perhaps you’ve lost it or forgotten it, you can still fly. TSA has procedures for that. A viral video tells you how.
The U.S. Passport ‘Is Now As Powerful As One From Rwanda’
A US passport is now as powerful as one from Rwanda thanks to Covid restrictions.
In normal times a U.S. passport offers “access [to] 187 destinations around the world.” That’s been cut to “fewer than 60 destinations – a passport power equivalent to that of Uzbekistan. US passport holders have a passport power equivalent to Rwanda.”
We’re Now Seeing (Sad) Claims That Airline Bailouts Were Good. Expect More Bailouts In The Future.
Airlines are rewriting history, pretending they used bailout money to be prepared to fly when they really pocketed it for themselves. And the ‘really bad stuff’ that would have happened without bailouts wasn’t ever true.
The narrrative matters because we’re going to see airlines back at the public trough again in the future. Investors know their downside is limited because taxpayers will always be there. And that’s abhorrent.

Hilton Believes Americans Are Slobs, Don’t Expect Clean Rooms During Stay?
Guests have different expectations in different parts of the world. Daily housekeeping will remain in Asia, because guests there expect rooms to be clean. However based on U.S. guest expectations rooms won’t automatically be cleaned during a stay in this country. That seems odd to me, since we’ve spent the past 16 months talking about hygiene, learning to wash our hands for a full 20 seconds, and lysoling everything in sight.
Delta’s ‘Queer Eye’ Safety Video That Will Never Be Seen On Board
I’m not sure how much value ‘fun’ safety videos actually ad. Do they get us to pay attention? Perhaps, but I’m not sure they get us to understand, internalize, and remember the safety information. Perhaps we focus on and remember the non-safety elements to the exclusion of the information that’s more important.
I love creativity in these videos anyway. They’re fun, they make me smile. Queer Eye (née Queer Eye For The Straight Guy) doesn’t do it for me per se, I’m beyond reclamation, but I applaud the attempt nonetheless.
Mules Stay Free On $79 Discounted Marriott Courtyard Rate
The Marriott Courtyard in Bentonville, Arkansas is currently offering a ‘mules stay free’ rate of $79 per night, and it’s being promoted by the mayor of nearby Pea Ridge.
When have you ever been able to bring a mule to a hotel before? A giraffe, sure, but not a mule.
