You’ll find additional availability from other cities, especially those where Virgin flies but also cities where Delta offers connections (it’s the Delta domestic flight that can be hardest to get).
United Airlines business class between the U.S. and Tokyo is wide open for award travel. Saver awards for 2 or more passengers are available nearly day through end of year out of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver.
Royal Air Maroc has been a ‘go to’ for transatlantic award space as a worst case scenario (and it’s actually a great option in many cases) dating to long before the airline was part of oneworld, when you’d use either Etihad or Iberia Avios to book the seats.
