Singapore Airlines Wants Help Naming Their New Frequent Flyer Mascot
Singapore Airlines has a new mascot for its KrisFlyer frequent flyer program, but the mascot doesn’t have a name. They’ve asked the internet to name it for them. You can submit your recommended name and they’ll pay out 30,000 miles if they select it.
What do you think of Miles McMilesFace?
Keeping Miles from Expiring With Newspaper and Magazine Subscriptions
When your miles are expiring there are plenty of ways to extend them, depending on the program. In general programs let you extend your miles by earning miles in an account or by redeeming miles.
I frequently use Magazines for Miles to keep family member accounts alive without spending any money. I had forgotten there’s a newspaper redemption option, too. And there are some options I’m finding useful on their own merits, not just to deal with expiring miles.
Singapore Airlines Non-Stop Premium Economy Less Than $900 Roundtrip
You can fly non-stop between the U.S. and Singapore in premium economy for just $890 roundtrip. That’s an incredible fare in my opinion. In fact coach is often more expensive than that.
This is available on Singapore’s non-stop Los Angeles – Singapore service, which offers just premium economy and business class. Book by April 11 for outbound travel April 1 – June 9, or after July 16. Your trip must be complete by November 30 and last at least 7 days.
Singapore Airlines Devalues Their Star Alliance Award Chart Effective April 19
The KrisFlyer program raised Singapore Airlines award prices again at the beginning of 2019 with about three weeks’ notice. That’s a pretty good indication that things wouldn’t last — that the Star Alliance award chart would be devalued too.

A bird was discovered in business class twelve hours into flight SQ322 from Singapore to London on January 7th. The bird continued to fly around and when the plane touched down it was “handed over to animal quarantine authorities.”
Naturally when the Mynah arrived at London Heathrow it declared, “boy are my arms tired.”

Singapore Airlines Suites Saver Awards to Auckland Bookable Using United, Aeroplan Miles
Singapore Airlines makes business and first class award seats available mostly to their own KrisFlyer members. It is very rare to be able to book these seats with miles in partner programs like United MileagePlus or Air Canada Aeroplan. Right now though you can book Singapore Suites on at least one route using partner miles!
