Thai Airways Is Earning Cash Offering Training Courses To Anyone With $89

Necessity is the mother of invention, and the coronavirus pandemic has created plenty of necessity. Thai Airways is in the midst of restructuring and they’re looking for revenue anywhere they can find it. They opened a cafe with airplane seats, since they aren’t running pilots through simulator training as often they’re selling anyone who wants it time in a simulator at a discount, and now they’re also selling spots in their Training Academy as well.

The offerings range from learning how to extinguish a real fire on a plane to Thai cooking and, oddly enough, email writing.

Thai Airways is offering several courses (the translation from Thai is…imperfect):

🔹🔹🔹1.Through Pilot’s Eyes ✈️🛬
When more than 10 pilots are together to share their experience with knowledge alongside the fun of their careers and opportunities for you to visit various agencies such as Aviation Management, Ground Equipment and Technician and Flying in Flying Machine Training. Flight Simulator, A 380 Airbus A 380 Airbus, flying sensation, testing the ability to pilot with Symmbiotics system only exists here.

🔸🔸🔸2.Be Our Guest.. Be Our Crew..🍮🛩
Come to experience being an airplane receptionist, preparation, preparation, work preparation for passengers.

And most importantly, you will try to be an airplane receptionist. 🔸🔸🔸4. Cook like THAI, Dine from Chef🍲🥧🥘
Inviting food enthusiasts to experience cooking with the head of Thai Airways company chef, who cooks various dishes to passengers around the world. Head Chef will reveal the process of all the tips and project participants will be able to cook out. The dish was cooked from the Thai Airways kitchen. It’s ready to give a certificate to the skillful certificate in the menu. You can continue your order.

🔹🔹🔹5. Beyond The Horizon…📝🎯
Another variety of training courses from us to help you develop yourself in a variety of process skills such as Delightful Dining Etiquette By THAI, English for Business, Email Writing, Intensive English Writing for Young Learning and many more interesting training courses.

I’m genuinely not sure if their promotional video is awkward or awesome:

Among the course options, for 2800 Baht ($89) you can learn to be a flight attendant. Even at that price training is more extensive than “subscribe to People magazine and hide in the galley. In fact it’s a four hour course that includes dressing up in a flight attendant uniform, getting hair done in an approved style, and performing on board service in an Airbus A380 mock cabin.

You also get to eat a business class meal, and bring along a friend to act as your passenger. A separate day and a half long course ($174) is required to master safety procedures such as flight evacuation.

The big challenge right now, of course, is that Thailand is not currently open for visitors and even their re-opening plans will be too cumbersome for most to take advantage of these cool experiences. Putting out a real fire on a plane and jumping down the emergency slide?

  1. Sadly, the Thai Airways FA school will not teach you the most important FA skill of all: selling credit cards. You have to go to American Airlines FA school to master that one.
