Marriott will give you 1000 points for answering a simple question on Twitter.
How long is an @NFL #football field, in feet? Answer with #RewardsPoints and score 1,000 bonus points if you get it right. pic.twitter.com/86n5CePV8k

Your Marriott Rewards and Twitter accounts need to be connected of course, but they give you points for that too.
For the Google-challenged here’s the answer:
You got it! Come back next week for another chance to score more #RewardsPoints pic.twitter.com/wKgbMgwk1w
— Marriott Rewards (@MarriottRewards) September 17, 2017
Marriott replied on Twitter immediately and points posted right away, too.
Bear in mind that points earned via social don’t extend the expiration date of your account. And also that Marriott points transfer 3:1 into Starwood Preferred Guest.

@Gary – Went to connect my account but not sure I want the social rewards app (required to get the points) to Update my profile or Post Tweets for me: “This application will be able to: … Update your profile…. Post Tweets for you.”
Note also that Chirpify (Social Media Awards) site has an invalid SSL certificate (at least as of today). https://www.chirpify.com/privacy/.
Dang! Every time I try to link my Twitter account to my Marriott account, I get this error message. I’m trying to connect only my Twitter account, haven’t connected any other types:
This member id may not be valid or you have already been connected to #RewardsPoints. Please confirm that this is your Marriott Rewards ID. If so, please logout from the Your Account link above and connect with the social account that you have already successfully linked, and then add additional social accounts.
So the company will trade me $10 bucks to place tweets on my twitter feed and track my tweeting. They wouldn’t do it unless they thought they would get more than $10 value out of it.
I missed the promotion by 15 minutes. It ended at 8:00 PM.
I know the time of my comment shows 6:17 PM, but it is now after 8:00 PM Eastern time.
Ditto Richard H! “Sorry, this promotion has ended. Come back next Sunday from 1-8 p.m. EDT for another chance to score #RewardsPoints.”
Interesting that nowhere did I see a time limit of 8pm EDT. Hmmm.
H! “Sorry, this promotion has ended. Come back next Sunday from 1-8 p.m. EDT for another chance to score #RewardsPoints.” I had also missed it . But thanks anywhere for posting.
@richard h – time is set to mountain
I missed the promotion because it was FIVE PM — 5:05 pm exactly — when I made the tweet. Pacific time. Irony? I was at a baseball game . . .
I tweeted at 8:30pm central time and didn’t get any points.
