Starting today EVA Air flies a Hello Kitty jet on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Los Angeles – Taipei as:

Taipei – Los Angeles, 10:10 a.m. – 6:50 a.m., BR6
There are special boarding passes and baggage stickers, Hello Kitty crew uniforms, and the seats are transformed into Hello Kitty with headrest covers and pillows. Meal service features utensilves, cups, and napkins that are Hello Kitty. The lavatories are stocked with themed toilet paper.
EVA used to offer Hello Kitty service Los Angeles – Taipei from September 2013 through October 2014, and currently flies a Hello Kitty jet to Chicago as well.
This is rubbish. LAX has gotten the plane on that route twice, IAH once, ORD once…but SFO never…
I flew the 767 version TPE-DSP a few years ago.
NY don’t get Hello Kitty either. Thanks Gary to keep providing EVA news.
Is the idea that families with small children (who don’t mind flying with them for 15 hours) will book EVA over another airline because they’ll get this plane? I don’t get it.
Lighten up. These are ‘cute’ flights no matter what your age – and for both business or leisure. Same very high quality EVA service, just with a Hello Kitty theme. And, as Gary mentions, it is everywhere. Customized safety video, food service, napkins, boarding pass, what have you. And, the toilet paper is so cute you can’t imagine having to actually use it! If nothing else, the theme makes for great Facebook posts. Would I go out of my way to fly Hello Kitty? NO. But, to fly EVA? A resounding YES.
Have flown several times, the great service is no different….Sorry but Hello Kitty ain’t all that…
