  1. The nuclear test site was terrible for the Army soldiers were were exposed , and suffered greatly afterwards . Certainly not a pleasant tourist place .

  2. Wow that rap music was great!!! Since United is pushing DEI I won’t be flying them anymore. They don’t need a white male, over 50 person’s business. We’ll leave United’s future success to customers like the fine young man singing in that clip. Good luck to all!!

  3. Nice resort but as a fellow globalist I happen to dislike their limited ill conceived breakfast menu which amounts to mostly eggs and Mexican themed items
Hard pass for the upscale setting with premium Denny’s fare
Not even a fruit plate or smoked salmon plate sorry not impressed
Personally I’m insulted when a hotel brings me a limited menu as an elite after I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with the chain.and dictates what I’m allowed to have

  4. Everyone who rails against “DEI” ends up coming back to whatever and wherever they said they’d “never” go back to as soon as the first low/lowest price that pops up in their travel search. LMAO!

  5. @Alert – Tourists go to battlefields regularly, why is this any different?

FWIW, a 2020 study of the long-term health effects of radition exposure on Atomic Veterans found no statistically signifigant increase in cancers due to radiation exposure compared to the general population. (I have to admit I found this surprising, but the results are the results. Feel free to refute.) It did find signifigant increased cancers due to asbestos exposure. Doesn’t mean exposing the soldiers like that was a good idea, but does indicate that perhaps the hysteria over the risks are overblown.

Thanks for the heads up, I’m in the process of planning a Vegas trip and SO just approved us trying to go on this. If anyone is interested, take a look at the requirments to be allowed to go on this tour. They’re not insignifigant, and the security procedures are pretty tight. It’s easier to cross the US-Mexico border.

  6. @C_M … The Disabled American Veterans Magazine just this month has an article on the subject .

  7. Yeah but the Tritium detonators were great for warming your hands. And I still have my Sandy compass from 40 years ago. Glowing just as well as it did when I served. Not too worried about the radiation. Now had I known what was going to happen to my hearing…….

  8. @Alert – See Auschwitz sometime. It’s gruesome but a necessary reminder about avoiding hate and totalitarianism. Likewise for The Killing Fields in Cambodia.

  9. It’s disconcerting seeing that used condom, although I would be really impressed if that was where they used it.
