  1. Non-line employees from almost all carriers are requested to help during peak season. This is nothing new. Since they are all salaried staff, they are getting paid.

  2. United is truly going down the toilet, and it’s all thanks to the terrible Scott Kirby. Oscar really needs to reevaluate his legacy, because he’s done jack sh** and just let Kirby run loose counting beans. Literally nothing positive out of the Oscar era of United. If anything, it was better under Smisek.

  3. @Ray – I don’t know that I agree. 8-across business cabins were pretty bad. At least their hard product is better.

    That might get the only exception, though.

    Does the United “Preferred” message mean that Golds & Platinums will no longer be able to select extra-legroom seats at booking? If so, I’ll be status-challenging … at American I guess.
