This Crazy Ramp Video From Chicago O’Hare is the Best 30 Seconds You’ll Spend Today

This Chicago O’Hare ramp worker driving in circles is Michael Douglas in Falling Down. He is all of us, in these crazy times. The real hero shows up about 27 seconds in to put a stop to the whole thing, another ground worker who takes on the role of fighter pilot to the hijacked jet, willing to shoot it down, taking out everyone on board and all of the cargo too.

This is some skilled driving – on the part of the catering truck driver and the person who intervenes with a tug. American Airlines says an accelerator appears to have gotten stuck on the truck. But who sabotaged the accelerator?

One reader emails, “The tug that stopped the [downward] spiral is the board and the employees standing around are the EVPs and SVPs.” Another offers, “Who knew Boeing installed MCAS on catering trucks?”

No one was hurt, and one flight experienced a 10 minute delay. Regardless there were probably some flights that didn’t get their predeparture beverages.
