Free Hyatt Platinum Status for 90 Days

Visa Signature is offering 90 days of free Hyatt Platinum status.

Platinum is Hyatt’s first level of status, which gets you:

  • 2pm late checkout (subject to availability at resorts)
  • Free internet access
  • 15% bonus on points earned from Hyatt stays

Just enter a US-issued Visa signature account number to activate the form. Status should update right away.

The offer runs through May 11, 2012, so you may want to time your registration based on when you have potential Hyatt stays in order to get the most out of your 90 days of status.

  1. If you get this prior to the Chase Hyatt, do you get the suite upgrades when you apply for the card?

  2. Sounds like a good deal. Would have been useful a month or two ago, as I just completed my 5th Hyatt stay for Platinum. Hopefully the promo comes back when my status expires next year!

  3. i used my visa signature card to validate; however, my status on hyatt’s site did not update straightaway. has anyone else experienced this?

  4. Note that the URL is only http, not https. Makes me concerned about sending a credit card number over unsecured internet link. Also, FYI, it doesn’t seem to work with Firefox and Chrome.

  5. Anyone having trouble with the Plat status updating? I’ve entered my visa signature card # several times but hyatt.com still has me as gold…

  6. According to the benefits page https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/hyatt-card.aspx Platinum status is now a benefit of the card, period.

“Platinum Hyatt Gold Passport membership for as long as you are a cardmember

Platinum status valid as long as your Hyatt Credit Card is open and not in default and you comply with Hyatt Gold Passport program rules. Authorized users will not be eligible for Platinum status or associated Platinum benefits.”

Is this a new benefit that makes it unnecessary to use the 90-day trial offer? Or is this a benefit specific to applying using a particular link?

  7. @Randy – every Visa Signature cardholder can sign up for 90 days of Platinum status. Hyatt Visa Signature holders get it as long as they have the card. Sign up for Platinum FIRST before getting the card, and as an EXTRA signup bonus you get confirmed suite upgrades.

  8. I didn’t realize I had a Chase Visa Signature until I called Chase to see why my Hyatt Visa application was stuck. So, probably too late to use the old Visa Signature to sign up and get Platinum, giving me the suite upgrades as a bonus on the new card.

  9. By the way, it did work. I signed up for the Visa 90 days at Platinum after I’d applied for the Hyatt card but before it was approved. After my statement closed I saw the suite upgrades in the account!
