• Will the plan to remake LaGuardia airport actually even ever happen? And what was Delta promised in exchange for their paying for the renovation of their terminals — perhaps lifting the perimeter rule so that Delta, with the largest presence there, can fly to the West Coast from the close-in airport?

• American AAdvantage has added to its terms and conditions that it’s against the rules for award tickets to be ‘advertised for sale’ and not merely sold. So if you post to a website that you want to sell your miles, that puts you in as much risk with the program as actually selling them. (Interestingly, the language about upgrades still only mentions sale and not offering for sale.)

• When you pull up the Uber app, is it showing you vehicles nearby that don’t actually exist? (HT: Marginal Revolution)

• Minneapolis airport is slated for a food and retail overhaul which “will include a restaurant and bar that also serves as a music venue, a full-service craft beer bar and restaurant, and a food truck-style food court.” An airport board committee will consider the recommendations August 3, and then forward it to the full board to consider August 17.

  Those will be among the 50 new restaurants, retail establishments, and convenience and news stores at MSP if a review team’s recommendations are accepted…
