Buy Up to 160,000 Hilton Points For Just Half a Cent Each Through December 5

Hilton usually charges a penny apiece for points, so with this bonus is selling points for half a cent each. Their recent promotional pricing is tied for the cheapest I’ve ever seen (in June 2015 they offered a 100% bonus on purchased points also, and a few months back they ran 50% off). They’re selling points for just about what they’re worth.

Are Most Airport Noise Complaints Bogus?

When people buy homes, they generally know they are doing so near an airport and planes are noisy. Although the FAA does change approach paths — indeed, they’ve been working towards more direct and fuel efficient landing routes which are better for airline economics and ticket prices, and better for the environment, but potentially generating more complaints from residents surrounding airports.

Planes are far quieter than they were decades ago, but there are more noise complaints also.

Citi ThankYou Transfer Bonus to Hilton is a Very. Bad. Deal.

Citi ThankYou Rewards is offering a one-third bonus on transfers to Hilton HHonors through February 8.

Hilton points are generally worth half a cent apiece. I value Citi points at 1.6 cents each. Getting two Hilton points per ThankYou point means transferring points at a value of a penny. Not. A. Good. Deal. In many cases you’re much better off just using Citi points to straight up buy travel. But even that’s not the best use of points.

Several Restaurant Spots are Empty in Atlanta’s Airport After 2 Years Because of Political Cronyism

There are empty restaurant spots in Concourses A, B, and C of Atlanta’s airport, as politics plays games with the ability of passengers to get food quickly during layovers.

Most airport restaurants are bad. It’s really hard to do food well given the security, traffic, space and contracting constraints airport restaurants face. But especially at hub airports it’s important for customers to be able to have access to food before and between flights.
