There’s been a bit of buzz lately about how while the major US airlines are lobbying the US government to block Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar there’s another closer-to-home airline about to eat their lunch flying to Europe and beyond – Star Alliance member and United partner Air Canada. They’re building their long haul route network and offer connections through hubs like Montreal and Toronto from cities across America.
One new flight they’re launching is Montreal – Tel Aviv. It’s only twice a week service, Sundays and Thursdays from North America to Israel and Mondays and Fridays returning. The flights run June 22 through October 16.

Despite what you might think about people around the globe if you open up your heart and soul you will find that people just want love and harmony around the globe.
I have met the most wonderful people in a small city called ‘Astara’ in northern part of Iran next to the Azerbaijan border (ex soviet Union) which there is a city with the same name which was split between Russian and Iran during the world war. You will love the Caspian sea. People in state of Gilan in Iran will cook for you as they love Americans and foreigners in general.
I have found amazing kind people visiting Victoria Falls in a small town in Zimbabwe who made me artwork made out of local wood.
I lived in Turkey for two years and I never forget the kind hospitality of beautiful Turkish people. I never forget hospitality of locals in Cappadocia where a local family hosted me.

I have loved every minute of my stay in Essouirra, Chefchaouen and Tangier. People of Morocco are so kind and they will open up their homes to you. You will eat the best Tagine and you can immerse yourself in local culture. Moroccans love Americans and they get so excited to see someone like me all the way from California.
Every single turn in Morocco is a Kodak moment. If you have spg points you will get yourself a beautiful Le meridien, a cat 2 hotel in gorgeous Marrakesh which reminds you of staying at a Palace.
I am on my way to Kenya to visit Lamu soon, then to Mombasa. I loved Zanzibar in Tanzania. I am going to Beirut, Amman, Tel Aviv, Aquba and using 25k AA points to fly all the way to the Philippines to visit Palawan with stops in DXB and Doha. I did a tour of Doha city during my last connection (Free tour of the city and a free room in their First class lounge) and love every minute of it. A local Syrian boy at a shop played a beautiful instrument when he found out that I was traveling during my birthday.
Open up your heart and mind as I am sure you will find so much beauty in Israel. I was in Tel Aviv when I was a Flight Attendant for TWA. It is a cosmopolitan place with multilingual people, great food and many historical places to visit.
