News and notes from around the interweb:

- I miss the old days when more airlines offered arrivals lounges in more cities. Nothing like a shower and quick bite after an overnight flight (well, except for an Emirates first class shower on the aircraft, of course).

10 places I DO NOT want to visit.
Some would be interesting, some would be deadly, and some are of no interest. The Vatican Secret Archive would be fascinating, like all libraries, even if I couldn’t read most of the contents. Metro 2 is probably overrated, though would be interesting. Crumbling mental hospitals are no more interesting than any other crumbling building, but they can be interesting. Any visit to North Sentinel Island is a hard no.
I can totally see why the church in Ethiopia wouldn’t want a bunch of rubes crowding in to gawk all day at the Ark Of The Covenant. Plus they might get a Mona Lisa type incident. Better to keep it private.
