The Hilton HHonors online shopping mall does provide as strong earnings as many others, largely because the currency you’re earning is Hilton HHonors points which I value at 4/10ths of a cent apiece.
However, they’re giving out 500 HHonors points just for logging in for the first time.
Given the value of Hilton points that isn’t a lot. But since it just entails clicking a link and then signing in with your account information — it’s worth doing, I certainly did it.
They say they’re giving out 500 points only to the first 10,000 people who take advantage of the offer. I do not know whether they will remove the banner once they’ve hit 10,000 or whether they will continue to award points beyond 10,000 and the cap is:
- approximate
- meant to instill urgency
… while serving as a cap on cost.
Nonetheless, free points are free points.

Oh-so-thank-U, Gary! I just did it for my buddy’s HH account, partly to extend expiry, then to my own empty account just in case I ever earn any points.
Did others get any confirmation one way or another if you get the 500 points? When I logged in, it went straight to the portal without any word whether I would get the points, but I have used the portal before and may be ineligible.

I have never logged in to Hilton Shop at Home before and no points posted to my account. I have a hard time believing that this is already dead, but it might be. I contacted Customer Service. I’ll update when I get a response.
