American Airlines Cracking Down On Flight Attendants Who Violate Appearance Standards

American Airlines is cracking down on flight attendants who aren’t wearing their uniforms correctly, or who violate the carrier’s appearance standards. A message went out from a flight service manager to flight attendants earlier this week. It announces a goal of 100% uniform compliance, and warns that flight service managers will be in airports conducting checks and to write up crew.

The Super Weird Reason Spirit Airlines Offers A First Class Seating Option

Spirit Airlines is an “ultra low cost carrier” with fees line extra charges for checking in (at the airport) and for bags (that you carry on yourself) often costing more than the fare itself. They’re the butt of late night comedy routines, but they also make air travel far more affordable – not just for those who fly them, but on routes and at times when legacy airlines have to compete with them.

So it’s weird that they offer a product that’s like domestic first class that you’ll find on American, Delta, United and Alaska Airlines. Except it’s not exactly like it. Spirit calls theirs “the Big Front Seat.”

American Airlines Introducing Gift Status For The Day – Including Top Tier Status

American Airlines shares a new program they’re introducing called Enhance with Miles.

Once a member earns 40,000 Loyalty Points (status qualifying points) in a year, they’ll be eligible for new experiential redemptions which grow in value at higher levels of points earned. That includes gifting status for a day and gifting yourself higher status for the day – including Executive Platinum.

When Airline Refuses To Pay Flight Compensation, Passenger Sends Bailiff To Collect The Money

It took 7 months and bailiffs showing up at the airport, but the passenger got the money. Sending a bailiff works because if staff don’t pay up, the bailiff can literally confiscate and sell office furniture and equipment. One Star Alliance airline even cancelled a flight in 2019 to avoid sending a plane where they knew a bailiff would be waiting.
