I posted on April 1 that Delta reduced the price of partner awards to Asia. And it wasn’t even April Fools’ Day. In fact I asked Delta and they confirmed this was not a mistake. Now it appears that they’ve lowered the price of partner awards to Europe, too.

Delta is running an award redemption flash sale to Hawaii.
They’re advertising it as ‘from’ 35,000 miles roundtrip in economy, but that’s very limited routes like Seattle – Lihue, and in many ways this sale just underscores how bad a deal regular SkyMiles is. Here’s how to do Hawaii better.

There are currently four open ‘Minute Suites’ airport locations in the U.S.: two at Dallas Fort-Worth, one in Atlanta, and one in Philadelphia.

U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways — discounted travel deals — will return April 9 through May 9. They’re touting that they’ll offer “the most loyalty program points for sale in Daily Getaways’ nine-year history.”

Qatar has the best business class product in the world in its new ‘QSuites’. To be sure even their older Airbus A350 business class is very good, a B/E Aerospace Super Diamond seat and a phenomenal soft product. But QSuites are revolutionary suites with doors and moveable partitions that allow two and even four passengers to travel together in their own space.
Currently they fly the product to New York JFK, Washington Dulles, and starting Saturday to Chicago.

Hilton doesn’t have blackout dates or capacity controls. When a standard room is available for sale, it should be available on points. That’s true of many hotel programs.
However individual hotels will sometimes playg games with their revenue inventory. They aren’t supposed to do this, but they may view guests on points as worth less than what they might get on the market from a paying customer.

Delta wants to incentivize you to earn their currency with more of their partners. They get paid by those partners for their miles.
But they want to be careful not to be too generous and give you extra miles for the things you’d do already. So they have a new promotion that’s double miles through May 31 for partner activity you didn’t earn SkyMiles for in 2017.
