A visibly drunk American Airlines Concierge Key member used his status to demand changing the TV channel in the Chicago O’Hare Flagship lounge, hurled homophobic slurs at passengers, and assaulted the staff. Reportedly, nothing was done, because ‘he has high status’.
I always take an aisle seat. I like to look out the window, but I really prefer to control my own destiny. I don’t want to have to wake a neighbor to get up, or climb over them. I want immediate access to the aisle.
Along with that comes the obligation to get out of the way when someone in the middle or window seat needs to go to the lavatory. And I’m always happy to get up!
Video is going viral of a woman smoking a cigarette inflight – and then producing a lighter and trying to set the seat on fire.
Video shows a passenger standing up during the flight, opening an overhead bin, and then rummaging through a brown bag. He’s unaware that thebag’s owner is recoding him the whole time.
When he closed the bin and sat back down, the bag owner got up from his seat and walked directly over to confront him. The thief was still digging into the bag, oblivious that the owner was standing just behind his shoulder.
An IndiGo passenger lost it on the tarmac after an all-day delay, and wound up slapping the pilot. Video from inside the cabin shows a man in a yellow hoodie sprinting up the aisle, and after he valulted a galley cart, he slapped the co-pilot who was updating passengers on the status of their delay.
What I’m most impressed with here is the pilot. Video of the incident starts after things had already gone sideways, and the pilot had to step in. He didn’t leave it to cabin crew, making a removal decision but staying in the cockpit. He came out and handled the situation.
