Comedian Receives Just a Suspended Sentence For ‘Brutally Beating Down an Airport Valet’

Comedian Faizon Love received a 180 day suspended sentence and a job working for United Airlines after he beat an airport worker in the Columbus, Ohio airport in March.

He claimed the airport employee “spit on him” though “that’s not clear in the video” of the incident:

At the time he didn’t exactly seem remorseful.

[T]he comedian…did admit he may need to ‘learn a lesson’ after allowing his volcanic temper to get away from him.

He told them: ‘To have the gall to spit on somebody… you got to understand, I could’ve tipped my hand and beat him into the ground that *****.

‘I chose to drag him like that just to (show) “who you little boy, you’re talking to a man.”

‘I didn’t take my fists and one time hit him. I could’ve stomped on him. I just wanted to show him you’re talkin’ to a grown man boy.’

‘But I don’t see where you guys keep letting punk kids talk crazy to everybody and we’re just supposed to walk away and not do anything about it.’

Reportedly he even seemed to suggest that by giving a beat down he was offering young people an object lesson that they can’t take their snide tweets into real life or there will be consequences.

The Cuban American actor born Langston Faizon Santisima is known as Wendell Wilcox on The Parent ‘Hood and for roles in The Replacements and Couples Retreat.

  1. What did he say? I have just read and reread his quotes several times and I still cant make sense of it. Perhaps with the aid of his fists or ‘stomping’ I would better understand.

I guess I dont be well gettin the punk chat they he be chasin’.

  2. Just a touch of irony in that he talks of consequences for other people, but there are none for his own actions.

  3. Note uniformed officers in the background having coffee and just watching. Glad they’re keeping our airports safe.
