Earn Cash Back for Your Hotel Reservations: Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, and Intercontinental Up to 9%!

Cash back shopping site Ebates (new members get $5 cash from the site or $10 gift card after first $25+ purchase when signing up through my referral link, feel free to leave yours in the comments) is offering 9% cash back on all Intercontinental Hotels Group bookings.

That means you can earn a 9% rebate on reservations with Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, and related brands when you go to the IHG website by clicking on it through the Ebates portal.

Even bigger rebates were available a year ago, but then IHG disappeared as a cash back option. It returned about a month ago at 4.5%. It’s great to see this (likely limited-time) doubling.

Currently Marriotts are available through the site with a 2.5% rebate, Hyatt at 2%, Hotels.com at 3.25%, Starwood at 1.5%, and Radisson at 3.5%.

Cash rebate portal TopCashBack often has even higher payouts, although mixed reader experiences with customer services. Their hotel rebates include 3% at Hyatt, 4% with Accor, 5% with Best Western, 5% with Radisson. They don’t currently have Starwood or Intercontinental Hotels.

Update: Now down to 8%.

  1. On Jan 1, 2014, ebates had a special for IHG at 9% cashback. Today, Jan 2, 2014, it has been changed to 8%.

  2. Are you sure this covers all IHG properties? The logo on the eBates home page showing 8% is that of the IC branded properties and not the general one which would include all brands like HI, HIX, CP, Indigo, etc.

  3. Will stays booked through this link count toward promo — IHG Big WiN II? Can we get some assurance of that?

  4. For what it’s worth I haven’t had problems with payouts through TopCashBack, but I do note in the post that many readers not problems

  5. @Nick – yes, since you’re actually booking through the IHG site (the link takes you to their site) not to a 3rd party site. Clicking a link and booking an eligible rate gives you .. an eligible rate.

  6. Yes Stacey, AAA rates are stackable with rebate sites like Ebates. Your rebated amount will be the rebate sites’ percentage of the discounted rate before taxes.
