News and notes from around the interweb:
- This shameless passenger wanted to get his money out of Air France business class, I guess? And maybe feels important making teams of outsourced cleaning crew tidy after them?

- Man arrested for booking too many hotel rooms
- Also, what Marriott did to customer loyalty.
This was the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah, NJ — a 22-story glass-and-steel icon opened in 1987, closed in 2023, and brought down in just 15 seconds on May 11, 2025, by controlled demolition. A landmark erased in seconds. #SheratonCrossroads #ControlledDemolition pic.twitter.com/3HW3tOy8UP

- “A normal day at Volotea, and it was like this at ALL the rows. Shameful.” Oy, I’m flying Volotea soon.

- World’s busiest airline markets. Notice that Atlanta falls down pretty significantly. Atlanta airport is often among the busiest by several measures because Delta has been successful killing prospects for a second airport, while other metros have multiple airports.
If it looked liked a crime, why not charge ‘em? We’re already doing that to political enemies these days as it is. I hear the new/old ‘talking point’ is that it was the black President’s fault for that Epstein thing. Good one. Ya got ‘em!
@1990 – so what Trump was friends with Epstein and both enjoyed the ladies (although no evidence Trump liked underage ones). Big deal! Locker room talk and I have no problem with a real man with libido. I’ve enjoyed a lot of that myself. Get over it – he isn’t being charged or getting hurt politically so nothing to watch. Move along now.
@Gary Leff — I’m surprised the 3-hour overnight tech outage at Alaska Airlines within the last day didn’t make the Roundup; basically 11PM Sunday-2AM Monday EST. It didn’t affect me personally, but I’m sure some folks were not happy. They grounded like 200 planes. Looks like a ‘joke’ compared to Crowdstrike, but still…
@Retired Gambler — And you ‘cool’ with Clinton, Gates, and the others, too? Nothin’ to see here…
If you’d like to travel with other elite guests, please consider Delta.
(And if so, that sure feels like ‘so long as I get my tax cut, I’ll overlook a lot of bad stuff’ vibes; which, I disagree with, but I get it, that’s basic greed. But, for others, it’s about our guy can do no wrong because ‘supremacy,’ which is a farce, pure animus, and far less forgivable.)
Thank you @Matt. Keep climbing!
Why would any adult with an IQ of over 70 and the maturity level of more than a five year old compare what that slob did in business class to Epstein is dumbfounding? Some of these people on this site continue to amaze me with their profound TDS.
Given some of the behavior I see in the Flagship lounge this behavior inflight is not shocking to me. What in the 1970s and 1980s we would have called ghetto/trailer park trash behavior is now found within the confines of people with money, or the “professional class”. Thank social media that teaches behaving like a wild boar and dressing like one is “cool.”
@George Romey — The current meme is that regardless of whatever a post is about, people note that it’s all an attempt to distract from the Epstein situation. So, yes, obviously, the ‘mess’ on that flight literally has nothing to do with Epstein, though, have you noticed, here we are still talking about Epstein. One more time: Epstein. Bah!
That Air France passenger doesn’t surprise me. Rich people often act entitled.
@Jeffrey Dhedouville — Maybe they just need a few more ‘tax cuts,’ then they’ll finally behave… surely…
@1990 I keep talking about Epstein too and Trump f’d up real big. I think he’s kowtowing to intelligence agencies and that’s one reason he was put into office to put a halt to a Deep State that operates outside and without government control. He’s failed on that part. BTW, who does he think that tried to put a bullet in his head?
He also keeps around an Attorney General that is beyond anything useless because he feels an obligation to her. That’s not the way to run a Presidency.
That being said, I have the maturity not to connect something that has nothing to do with Epstein to Epstein.
I don’t think it would change anything materially but if London gets to count all the way down to Southend, New York should have SWF, ISP and HPN included at least.
George Romey: a person who has maturity need not say so. Since you announced yours, you have some growing and learning to do, dontcha think?
@George Romey — Would you accept a techbroligarch Presidency? Like, 25th Amendment, JD, but really it’s just Thiel at the wheel? I mean, I’m always down to clown….
The redneck dancing in public angered me.
He is so ugly and dressed so poorly it bothers me that someone like that has any confidence at all.
