  1. I have no doubts that the Port Authority will screw it up properly, but Terminal 1 is really unusable at this point. If competent and non-corrupted people were running the construction, it would be over in 1 year rather than 7 (China has built massive new airports like Beijing and Chengdu from scratch in about half the time).

  2. It’s absolutely nuts that the Port thinks it’s fine to shut the Airtrain loop for 7 months. It can’t be that hard to work around Airtrain. Just being lazy.

    And it’s insane that they charge passengers $8.25 to ride Airtrain to Jamaica and Howard Beach. It ought to be free to encourage people to use Airtrain rather than taxis and drop offs.
