No, not the Trump Rewards Visa from Chase, which used to be a real card.
It’s Coign, pronounced Coin, a new conservative alternative credit card for the TRUTH Social crowd. (By the way, Donald Trump hasn’t even created an account there yet.)
This new product comes from a former Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and an advisory board that includes former Senaor Cory Gardner (R-CO) and a former Senatorial Committee executive that’s currently advising Dr. Oz’s Pennsylania run.
The card has no annual fee and offers a 1% rebate, with a ” percentage of its profits from merchant fees [going] to conservative causes and organizations” curated by the card’s management team and voted on by cardmembers.
Consumers, of course, would be better off with a no annual fee 2% cash rebate card and donating to the causes they care about directly – and pocketing the tax deduction if the cause is a non-profit public charity and if they itemize.
A ‘best in class rewards card’ whose profits support causes you believe in is one thing. Asking consumers to sacrifice their rewards in the name of their beliefs, while making money on the difference, is something else. The new card doesn’t even have bonus categories for purchases from SuperBeets, children’s books about socialism from Mike Huckabee, or copies of Trump: The Game.
Backers, though, say it’s time for a card whose profits don’t support liberal politics of corporations (remember when corporations were the bane of liberals?).
The credit card is marketing itself as an alternative for consumers who are tired of watching the profits from their patronage land with liberal groups that are antithetical, if not outright hostile, to their conservative values. On Coign’s website, the firm describes its product as “America’s first credit card for Conservatives.” Collectively, the 10 largest credit card companies are among the firms that have donated to liberal groups, GOP operatives involved with Coign say.
So instead of giving the money to companies that support liberal causes, give the money to these folks instead because reasons.

Gary Leff is also a known libertarian, that’s a conservative who is too [redacted] to admit it in front of their mostly liberal friends and colleagues.
Surprisingly (or maybe not) Gary Leff fails to mention that anybody with a paltry $100k in assets can get a BoA card with 2.6% cash back (more in bonus categories) and other fintechs are promotionally offering 3% or higher cash back.
Corporations are woke because it’s good for business. The business owners and investors cannot care less about politics honestly.

The tone of this article shows why this financial products like this are needed. Not everything is about maximizing personal gain. Selling out patriots for $$$ is not noble. I don’t necessarily support this card or company because most elected republicans on a national level are rinos and the establishment is deeply entrenched. Even Trump has proven to be a bigger talker and highly ineffective at using power and implementing or even contemplating a strategy.

Your assessment of the “old” right is neither accurate or done with a good spirit.
The right has always been judged for supporting big business, the rich, and neglecting the poor and marginalized, and perhaps controlling certain choices (e.g. abortion).
The left has always been judged for taking people’s money (I.e. “the rich”), spending a ton of government money on social welfare programs, and focusing on the environment.
If you’re going to attack the right, at least do it fairly. It’s the left that takes money from people and redistributes it. The right usually gives tax cuts that disproportionately benefits the rich and big businesses.
This credit card is not dissimilar to affinity credit cards that support a range of organizations, including schools and charities. The Libertarians ought to issue a card. The Democrats ought to issue a card. Etc. Etc. Is it okay for one group to issue a card but not okay for an opposing group to issue a card? Who cares?
